In 2013, Eiko Hashiba, an ex-investment professional at a leading Japan-focus private equity fund, and Soshi Hanamura, an experienced engineer developed a Google Apps based groupware system, launched visasQ (VQ) together to provides business professionals with a better way to access industry insights, and to provides business professionals with new opportunities to leverage their knowledges, skills, and expertise.
While Japan market and Japanese experts has been thought as “difficult to access” even among locals,
VQ’s successfully built the database of 20,000 experts in 3 years covering wide range of industries and business expertise from C-level to managers, supported by strong technologies and efforts of 30+ passionate team members.

Co-founder & CEO
After graduating from the University of Tokyo with BA in Economics, Eiko worked at Goldman Sachs Tokyo IBD, and L’Oréal K.K., then earned her MBA at MIT Sloan School of Management. From the five year investment activities at Unison Capital, one of the leading buyout fund in Japan, Eiko realised the value of industry insights and founded visasQ inc. in 2012, the first primary research service provider in Japan.

Soshi was the founding member and the development team leader of “Rakumo”, google apps based groupware, which was acquired by Net Year Group. After worked at GREE, the game platform’s user acquisition team, he joined VQ in 2013. Soshi earned his master degree from Yokohama National University and his research project then was elected as IPA’s Mito Youth program.

After graduating from Waseda University, he joined the Sumitomo Corporation, one of the biggest trading and investment company in Japan. He experienced trading and business development in Sulfuric Acid industry especially in China and S.E.A market. After worked at Triumph Co., HR consulting company, he joined visasQ inc. in 2015.

Osuke was a Principal and operation committee member at Globis Capital Partners, formerly Apax Globis Partners, a pre-eminent venture capital firm in Japan. Prior to Apax Globis Partners, Osuke held multiple positions at Mitsubishi Corporation, the largest trading house in the world. Here he led various initiatives, which involved operations management in the automotive sector as well as business planning and new business development for the CEO Office, Machinery Group.
Venture United, inc. Chief Venture Capitalist
Started his career as a venture capitalist at a securities company. Later on, he experienced corporate planning of a listed company, M&A advising at a VC affilitated with banks, directing IPO preparation at a startup company. After joining UNITED, inc. formerly Net Age Group in 2007, he invests startups especially in the early-stage.
